Jim Skvarenina is a distinguished Senior Sales, Marketing, and Distribution Executive with over three decades of experience in the HVAC industry. His career is marked by a series of impressive achievements, including driving substantial revenue growth, successfully managing complex business conversions, and earning numerous prestigious awards for his outstanding performance.
Jim most recently served as the Regional Manager for American Standard Brand/Residential Solutions at Trane Technologies, where he led the Midwest region to unparalleled success until his retirement in August 2023. Under his leadership, Jim played a pivotal role in converting three independent distributors into a company-owned distribution model, consistently exceeding market share growth expectations for four consecutive years. During this period, he developed combined revenues from $21 million to $35 million through strategic new dealer acquisition and the growth of existing dealers.
Throughout his career, Jim's contributions have been widely recognized. He garnered the National Pacesetter Award in 2007 and 2009 for top performance in sales, profitability, and market share growth, along with overall recognition in 2007 for acquiring the highest points within the distribution channel. His relentless focus on market expansion led to a 12% average annual growth in residential replacement revenues and an impressive 27% annual growth in commercial replacement revenues. In 2009, Jim achieved the President's Award for Dramatic Growth by improving market share performance by 2.4%, and he received second place globally in the Chairman’s Award for the same category due to his remarkable contributions.
Before his tenure at Trane, Jim was the General Manager and Partner at A.C. Klopf, an HVAC contractor, from January 2000 to July 2003. In this role, he successfully led the company through significant growth, setting the foundation for his future successes in the industry. His early experience also includes serving as Branch Manager at The Behler-Young Co. and holding key roles at Potter Distributing, where he demonstrated his ability to drive growth and profitability in competitive markets.
