Justin Lauten is the President and Owner of Total Air and Heat, a large family-owned business serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Founded in 1957 by his grandfather, Total Air is now in its third generation of leadership, with Justin at the helm. Under his leadership, the company has seen unprecedented growth, becoming a three-time Carrier President’s Award winner, a six-time Trane Top 10 dealer, and an Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Contractor of the Year. With deep, hands-on experience in every aspect of the HVAC industry—from manufacturing, distribution, to installation, service, and sales—Justin’s expertise is comprehensive.
He began his career with a global HVAC manufacturer, managing a large territory and earning multiple Top 10 awards nationally. Over the past 15 years at Total Air, he has driven strategic growth through acquisitions, territorial expansions, and organic growth through operational improvements, consistently achieving double-digit growth in revenue and profit year over year.
As a young man he earned the honor of Eagle Scout which taught him perseverance, commitment, and instilled many of his core values. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas State University and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma, with concentrations in entrepreneurship, communication, and negotiation. Justin is actively involved in industry leadership, serving on various boards, including President of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America - North Texas Chapter, the Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association, and the Foundation for Lovejoy Schools. He also has a passion for volunteering at his family’s church and the local Special Olympics chapter.
