Walt Coury grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, at the heart of the Rust Belt, where the values of hard work, perseverance, and resilience were deeply ingrained in him from a young age. As the son of an entrepreneur, Walt was exposed early to the importance of dedication and strong business ethics, starting his first job at 14. These experiences shaped his commitment to doing the right thing in both his personal and professional endeavors, driving his success across various industries.
By the age of 35, Walt had built and managed a wealth management portfolio of $100 million in assets under management (AUM). His approach was client-centric, with a focus on understanding individual client needs and delivering tailored solutions in investment planning, retirement strategies, and tax optimization. During his time at Wela Strategies, LLC, Walt not only helped his clients achieve their financial goals but also played a critical role in training and mentoring younger professionals, fostering a culture of growth and success within his team.
During his tenure as a Wealth Advisor, Walt also provided hands-on consulting that delivered transformative results in company culture, cost-cutting, process improvement, time management, sales, and customer experience.
Despite his success in wealth management, Walt felt a deeper calling to pursue a greater mission. This led him to transition into the home services industry, where he is now the Principal of BlueWave Comfort. His vision for the company is to transform the HVAC sector through strategic acquisitions, advanced technology integration, and process improvements. BlueWave Comfort is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while preserving the legacy of the businesses it acquires, fostering strong relationships, and nurturing growth for the future.
